ER Stories 15: Under the Influence part2 #selfie

A collection of things people in the ER have done while under the influence of alchohol, drugs or keyboard cleaner:

ONE: Drunk patient threatens to call his lawyer at 2 a.m. because we won't let him leave without a ride home.

TWO: High patient hits the call button every five minutes and every single time it is because she wants to know if we can paint the ER room's walls a nicer color.

Fake Smile

THREE: Patient comes in by ambulance after getting into a fight at the bar. While we are trying to clean blood off of his face, he is holding his cell phone camera out to try and take selfies with us... We leave for less than a minute. Patient (literally) jumps out bed and runs out of the ER and out of the hospital.

FOUR: A very high, paranoid patient screams at the top of his lungs "IT'S THEM. THEY'RE FOLLOWING ME", pointing at an empty hallway.

Okay Then

FIVE: Male in his late twenties calls 911 because his hallucinations have gotten too out of control. He openly admits to taking Dangerous Drug #1 and Dangerous Drug #2 at the same time. He sits in his room without moving for two hours. We show him how to use the TV, but he only continues to stare at the wall. Finally, he is discharged and the nurse gives him instructions. She asks him if he has any questions. He says: "So I can take Dangerous Drug #1. And I can take Dangerous Drug #2. I just can't take them together?"

SNL
(Not quite what we were getting at, sir.)

Don't do drugs, kids.
